How to use Attachments in FireMate

Attachments can be added to a Customer, Contract or Property in FireMate. Here's how to use them from the FireMate Mobile App.

About Attachments

Attachments can be added to a Customer, Contract or Property. These attachments are usually not specific to a Routine Activity (RA) or Service Request (SR), and are simply documents or images you would like visible to those working on the file. 

How to attach a document via the desktop

  1. Within FireMate Desktop, go to the Customer, Contract or Property you would like to add an attachment to
  2. Select the [Attachments] tab located across the top of the dialogue box.
  3. Select [New Attachment]
  4. Locate the file you want to attach or simply drag’n’drop the file into the dialogue box.
  5. Enter a Description and choose an attachment type
    1. The name of the attachment will display as the "Name" within FireMate Mobile where applicable. 
    2. The description of the attachment will display the "Description" on the FireMate Portal where applicable. 
    3. These can be changed at any time

  6. Upload the attachment and select [Save]

How to view the Property attachments from the Mobile App

View attachments for the Property via the [Property Details] in the mobile app. 

  1. Select the [Property Name] from any screen on the app
  2. Select the [Attachments] button
  3. View any available attachments by selecting them from the available list.

How to view the Routine Activity (RA) or Service Request (SR)  attachments from the Mobile App

  1. View attachments for the Routine Activity via the Routine Activity Details
  2. From within the RA or SR, select [Routine Activity Details] or [Service Request Details]
  3. Select the [Customer Name] button
  4. View any available attachments by selecting them from the available list.

How to add an attachment to the Property, Routine Activity (RA) or Service Request (SR) from the Mobile App

  1. Go to the attachments sections within the Property, Routine Activity or Service Request.
  2. Tap on the [Select a File] button
  3. A prompt will display explaining you will now be uploading a file. Select [OK]
  4. Browse your device for the attachment you would like to add to the app.
  5. Select the file you wish to attach to the app
  6. Select the [Upload] icon

Once uploaded, the document will be immediately available to view or download from the Desktop.
