Anyone in your team can create their own dashboards with the New FireMate.
Create your own Dashboard
There are four ways you can start creating a new dashboard:
1. From the left menu
In the side navigation, select the "Dashboards" menu item and then select the "Create New Custom Dashboard" from the bottom of the sub-menu list.
2. From your Dashboard Library
If you navigate to your dashboard library, you can select the "Create New Custom Dashboard" button, located in the top right hand corner of the page.
3. Duplicate an existing dashboard
If you are on your Dashboard Library page and wish to make your own version of an existing dashboard, find the dashboard you wish duplicate and select the "Actions" dropdown.
Select "Duplicate" and you can give the dashboard a new title and description.
4. While viewing a dashboard
While you are viewing a dashboard or creating a dashboard, you can choose to create a new one straight from the "Dashboard Actions" dropdown.
After following one of the four paths above, you can give your dashboard some details:
- A title, which will be shown in the dashboard library and at the top of the dashboard page
For example, "Quotes and Invoices this Quarter", "Overdue Work this Week"
- A description, to let your team know the purpose of the dashboard
For example, "This dashboard shows the quarterly financials for the local Branch"
After completing these details, select the "Save" button and you can start building your custom dashboard!
Now that you've created your dashboard, you can select the "Dashboard Actions" dropdown and do the following :
Select from our growing dashboard widgets library what data and information you would like to appear on your dashboard.
Select what filters you want your dashboard data to be filtered by.
Rename your dashboard and update its description.
When creating a custom dashboard, it defaults to being Private. This means only you can view this dashboard.
If you select "Publish as Company Dashboard" this will make the dashboard accessible to your whole Company. Your teammates can then view, filter and duplicate this dashboard, but they cannot edit the details, layout or widgets.
Create New Dashboard
If inspiration strikes while you're in the middle of viewing or editing a dashboard, you can create a new dashboard from the "Dashboard Actions" dropdown.
If you like an existing dashboard but want to create another similar dashboard for yourself, you can select duplicate and edit what you need.
Need to remove the dashboard entirely? Select "Delete Dashboard", and follow the prompts.
Deleting a dashboard cannot be undone. After this has been completed you will need to recreate the dashboard again.
If the dashboard has been Published to Company, deleting it will mean that anyone who previously viewed or used the dashboard will no longer be able to do so.
